General Information

You are invited to submit abstracts on topics related to the Congress theme and tracks for presentation in the Congress. Submission of more than one abstract from a participant is welcomed. All Congress presenters must register for the Congress and pay the registration fee for their presentation to be included into the final programme.

Deadline for Abstract Submission: 15 May 2007

  1. The Programme Committee welcomes submission of abstracts for presentation as outlined in the Abstract Submission Form as attached or download at www.wmhc2007.com.
  2. Abstracts to be submitted should not have been presented at other meetings or conferences.
  3. Abstracts to be submitted should not have been published in any local or international journals in the form of full paper.
  4. Authors who wish to submit more than one abstract should fill out a separate submission form for each abstract.
  5. Authors will be invited either for an oral, poster, audio-visual presentation or skills demonstration during the Congress. Authors will be asked their preferred format of presentation. However, the Programme Committee will make the final decision.

 

Method of Abstract Submission

  1. Online submission is highly recommended.
  2. For those who do not have web access, please complete the Abstract Submission Form and return the Form with an electronic file, e.g. CD-ROM or 1.44MB Floppy Disk by mail to the following address:

   3. All abstracts should reach the Congress Secretariat on or before 15 May 2007.

 

Acknowledgement of Receipt of Abstract

  1. An auto reply acknowledging receipt of the abstract will be sent to your E-mail address provided on the Abstract Submission Form. If delegates use the mailing method, a reply letter will be sent to you within one month from your date of submission.
  2. A reference number will be assigned to each submitted abstract. Please quote this number for future correspondence with the Congress Secretariat.

 

Abstract Review, Selection and Publication

  1. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee. A paper may be accepted for oral, poster, audio-visual presentation or skills demonstration at the Congress.
  2. Abstract accepted for presentation will be published in the Congress Programme Book.
  3. Only fully registered author(s) will be allowed to make presentation in the Congress.
  4. The Programme Committee reserves the right to accept and edit the abstracts submitted, and to ask the authors to revise the abstracts.

 

Notification of Result

Notification of acceptance or rejection of your abstract will be informed via your E-mail or mailing address provided on the Abstract Submission Form no later than 15 May 2007.

 

Abstract Format

  1. Unless submitted through the Congress website, all abstracts must be submitted as an electronic file saved in a format compatible with Microsoft Word in a CD-Rom / floppy disk.
  2. Abstracts must be typed in single spacing and Font 12 using Times New Roman in not more than 300 words.
  3. Author(s) should be listed by family names followed by initial title and institution / affiliation separated by comma (Omit degrees, institutional appointment, street address and postal code).
  4. The presenting author must be underlined.
  5. The title should be typed at the TOP of the typescript in BOLD in no longer than two lines.
  6. Use of standard abbreviation is desirable. Special or unusual abbreviations should be placed in parentheses after the abbreviated full words/phrases the first time they appear.
  7. Abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH and should be checked for spelling and grammar thoroughly before submission.
  8. Please provide the following particulars in submission: name, title, institution / affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and, if submitted electronically, E-mail address.
  9. Tick the preferred format of presentation and indicate the track chosen.
